TRAINING
We advise all participants to ensure that they are physically prepared to take part in hiking event. Ensuring you have the correct kit is a great place to start! It may sound obvious but do give yourself time to break in your new boots, get used to using your walking poles and wearing your rucksack with your water supply fitted. On a lighter note, we are encouraging all teams to sport their best tartan for the day, a prize will be given for the best dressed Clan!

- Rucksack – we recommend one with straps to help distribute the weight
- Walking poles – these are a great help with the hills!
- Walking trousers, prevent chaffing and allow movement when climbing hills
- Wicking Top
- Fleece
- Waterproof/Sun Hat
- Warm gloves if weather is cold
- Camel pack or refillable water bottle
- Blister plasters, Zinc Oxide tape, Vaseline
Don’t forget your tartan accessories!
